Tryouts Monday March 16

9th-10th Graders:

(10th graders traveling on the FL trip do not attend this session)

•Tryouts begin at 3:00 at the Trustone Center (The Barn) and will end at 5:00.

•We will be handing out the team apparel orders (caps & t-shirts only) inside The Barn starting around 2:50.

•I will speak briefly at 3:00, then players will participate in a dynamic warm up led by senior captains and then play catch.

•Players will then be split into three groups (two 9th-grade groups and one 10th-grade group).

•30 minutes at each evaluation station (hitting, infield, outfield/running)

•Our pitching coach (Coach Hamilton) will pull players to pitch and catch. If a player wants to be evaluated as a pitcher/catcher, they should let coach Hamilton know at the beginning of tryouts. Note that we may not have time to get to all pitchers and catchers on Day 1. We will ensure all interested pitchers and catchers who do not get evaluated on Day 1 will get evaluated on Day 2. It does not matter which day you are evaluated for pitching/catching.

•Please ensure that your player has a ride home at 5:00.

11th-12th Graders (plus the 10th graders traveling on FL trip):

•Group starts at 4:30. Arrive 4:15. Do not arrive any earlier.

•We will hand out the team apparel orders (caps & t-shirts).

•Dynamic warm up and throwing

•Split into two groups (infield and outfield)

•One group hits while the other fields. This will be a high-rep environment.

•Coach Hamilton will pull pitchers and catchers for evaluation as needed.

•Must be done by 6:00 when our time is up.
